The Perfect Mix

Platinum Mobile Bars are a highly professional bar company, offering a 5-star rated service supplying everything you need to wow your guests at any event. They like to take all the stress away from you by supplying a wide variety of spirits, wines, soft drinks, draught beer systems, fully trained staff, licences and insurances. Located in Newbury, they are available for events in Berkshire, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire & surrounding counties.

At the end of 2017, The Creative Donut was asked to modernise the logo and present a more professional brand vision. In addition we were instructed to undertake a website design and build project.

We started this project by redesigning the brand logo. Platinum Bars had previously used a logo designed by a family member. However with more work coming frequently they felt it was time to have a professional re-work and develop the original concept, that they liked. Which was a hand drawn champagne glass with the business name written cursively.

As usual, we produced a number of designs building on this original concept. Eventually settling on a hand drawn flute glass paired with the font Magnificent. We produced this in 6 color variations including a classical grey/brown and a champagne version.

This website especially has been designed to reflect a visitors flow and decision making. The goal was to make it as clear as possible to understand what services were available e.g. first you pick your drinks package, then you chose which type of bar you want.

In addition to keeping the website predominantly on one page. We added blogging functionality so that we can post details of case studies. This helps twofold, firstly in being able to read details and see pictures of other projects visitors are more informed. Secondly regular updates and increasing the keyword count helps boost Google ranking and general SEO.

Mel is also a crazy Instagrammer with a preference to taking pictures at “interesting angles”! We wanted to include this, however the lower resolution used by Instagram often causes issues when you want to expand the image past 640×640 pixels. So to get over this we built in an instagram gallery section that would automatically pull across the latest posts and tile them on the page.

The client was very happy with the website and all the support we provided behind the scenes. Mel was very receptive to brainstorming and reviewing ideas with us and the level of communication and general feedback was great.

Going forward we look to grow the services offered by the business and continue work expanding the Google presence. As well as providing maintenance and updates for the website. We aim to be considered your “friendly digital partner” and help you achieve your business goals.
